Locations - The crags we use for our rock climbing in Sligo are mostly located in the Ox Mountains west of Sligo and can be reached by car in 10 minutes from town. These are almost perfect for beginners and taster sessions as they don’t require a long walk in. We can also travel if needs be. Once you have made contact and we have some information about your needs we will plan accordingly.
Included in both the half day and full day rock climbing tour is the use of a specialised rock climbing harness, climbing shoes and helmet. All other rock climbing equipment and hardware such as the ropes and anchors are set up prior to the session beginning.
Half Day - 3 hours (Typically 10am - 1pm/2pm - 5pm).

Once booking is confirmed we will choose a suitable location for your session. Some of the factors that influence this decision are group size, weather conditions and experience. Prior to you arriving at the location all ropes will be set up so that everything is in place for your session. This means you get more time to rock climb! On a half day climbing tour you will learn about the climbing equipment, tying into the harness, fundamental climbing skills, belaying a climber and abseiling. Of course you will also have the opportunity to climb until your arms are sore!

Full Day - 6 hours (Typically 10am - 4pm).

On full day tours we can spend half the day at one crag and then break for some lunch and after lunch we may go to a new crag depending on the group, weather and logistics. If we stay at the one location you will get to climb many of the routes at that location and get a a sense of topping out. There is a great sense of adventure on our full day tours as you will get to experience a full day of rock climbing, learning all the basics as well as many other elements to rock climbing in Ireland and the outdoors. On a full day climbing tour you will learn about the climbing equipment, tying into the harness, fundamental climbing skills, belaying a climber and abseiling. Generally you will get to climb at a crag which has varying rock types and routes. Give the full day tour a go immerse yourself in the wilderness, rock climbing and a completely new experience for a whole day!
